Hello! I’m Helen and I’m so excited about joining the team and bringing the Music Monsters amazing piano learning programme to you.

Having started playing the piano at the age of 4 and passing my grade 8 at the age of 13, I went on to study in Birmingham at the University and Conservatoire and gained my Bachelor of Education in Music with Qualified Teacher Status. I have been a Head of Music at schools in and around Sutton Coldfield, Lichfield and Sandwell ever since (that’s 20 years!)

I also continue to perform professionally as a keyboard player, having played with many leading artists over the years.

I live in Sutton Coldfield and I’m hoping to inspire children in the area, Four Oaks, Little Aston, Streetly and Aldridge (where I grew up).

Beginner Music Monsters' Classes

Our available Music Monsters’ classes are listed below. We start new beginner classes every half-term, so that all students are placed within a same-level class.

We work with small groups of children and their grown-ups, ensuring that everyone gets all of the attention that they deserve.

Lessons cost £12.50 per 30 minute lesson. Your first lesson is payable on booking. Following this, lessons are paid using a recurring monthly fee of £44.00 per month, plus an initial £13.00 charge for a book. We can’t wait to welcome you!

School Bookings

Music Monsters Sutton Coldfield offers in-school peripatetic piano lessons to children in Y1-Y6 – AND we will pay you to allow us to deliver these lessons to your students.

Children will progress in small groups through our innovative and enriching syllabus, developing their performing, listening and composition skills. There will be performance opportunities, the chance for students to develop their social and team building skills, creative and independent thinking, as well as lots of support for the children’s mental well-being.

For every student that learns with us at school, we will donate £5 per student per month, straight to your school.
