In the music teaching industry in 2024, awareness will continue to grow. Efforts to promote a more inclusive curriculum, representation of diverse musical genres, and accessibility to music education for underrepresented groups will continue to gain momentum.
I see customers becoming even more aware of the types of lessons that might be appropriate for them and their children, and it’ll become more important than ever to make sure we are providing an education that is inclusive.
Bottom line: Keep up-to-date with advances in initiatives, and bring your learnings into lessons.

Music teaching can be pretty lonely if you are a solopreneur. Yes, you might see lots of students and parents each week, but your opportunities to connect with colleagues and others artists can be limited.
‘Networking’ is such a cringe idea. But connecting? Collaborating? This is magic!
Get out in 2024 and find people that you can work with, connect with, cheerlead, support. Find a community of likeminded people who can help you to achieve your personal goals AND who you can build awesome friendships with.
